Gaby Alter aka Yes Gabriel is a Brooklyn-based songwriter, producer, and singer known for his eclectic contributions to music and theater. With accolades including a coveted Jonathan Larson Grant (named after the creator of “Rent”), an ASCAP Plus award, and multiple theater critics' circle awards, Alter is the composer of two Broadway-bound musicals, a beloved Disney song performed by Tom Hiddleston from the animated feature “The Pirate Fairy,” and music for films that have premiered at SXSW and LA film festivals. His extensive collaboration repertoire includes hundreds of co-writes, notably with nerdcore rapper MC Frontalot.

Yes Gabriel showcases Alter's expansive musical skill with a vibrant blend of heartfelt lyrics and soulful synth pop. His songs mix influences from '80s giants like Sting, Peter Gabriel and Erasure with more contemporary ones such as Caroline Polachek and LCD Soundsystem. Woven throughout is the story-telling he has honed through his theatrical writing. Situated squarely in both retro and current sonic worlds, Alter makes joyful dance anthems and contemplative, dreamy pop that could sit well in any decade.

Yes Gabriel’s live performances further draw from Alter’s blend of pop and theatrical backgrounds, incorporating musicians from Broadway pit bands and members of legendary alternative group Wheatus ("Teenage Dirtbag")

- PopMatters: "Set atop a meditative and gripping setting, it's an excellent song about the shortest month, and maybe, no matter what T.S. Eliot said, the cruelest."
- Take Effect: "soft horns and electronic sounds turn the track into a multifaceted pop gem...the remaining tunes are equally impressive."
- Twirl Radio: "Five extremely well-crafted, intimate songs."
